  • Multiple coatings on all lenses
  • Enhanced Light Transmission coating
  • Phase correction
  • Internal focusing
The roof prism and porro prism binoculars of the S series have an objective lens diameter greater than 40 mm and are the continuation of the A series. With the same high-quality coatings as the A series, impeccable image quality is guaranteed. Characteristic of this series is the high light intensity due to the large objective lens diameter.
Multiple coatings on all lenses
Optimum light transmission is one of the most important aspects for the visual quality of binoculars. This is also the focus of the new technologies for the current PENTAX Sport Optics series. The "Full-Multi-Coating" of all lenses is the new standard coating. It improves light transmission and contrast while minimizing reflections and providing excellent colour fidelity.
Enhanced Light Transmission coating
The new "Enhanced Light Transmission Coating" raises the optical level of the new PENTAX binoculars to a significantly higher level. This optimized light transmission coating increases light transmission and guarantees exceptionally bright images with precise colour rendition.
Lens protection coating
The lenses in the S series are specially coated with the "Protective Lens Coating". Based on nanotechnology, this water, oil, dust and dirt-repellent hydrophobic protective coating on the outer optical elements prolongs visual comfort in the long term. The corresponding PENTAX binoculars therefore impress even under the toughest viewing conditions.
  • Water-repellent coating on the outer lenses
  • Waterproof (JIS 6 classification) with nitrogen filling
  • Nitrogen filling
  • Continuous rubber armoring for protection and a secure grip
