  • High luminous intensity
  • ideal even in low light conditions
  • for SLR cameras with APS-C format

A brilliant standard zoom lens that allows photographers to fully exploit creative possibilities
The 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM / Art is a latest-generation lens that enables shooting with an F1.8 aperture across the entire focal length range. Compared to a lens with an F2.8 aperture, the F1.8 aperture expands creative possibilities with its faster shutter speed and shallower depth of field. From wide-angle to standard, this Lens offers the versatility and performance of several fixed focal lengths.

As a result, it is one of the fastest standard zoom lenses for digital SLR cameras with image sensors up to APS-C format. The focal length of the Lens is equivalent to 27 mm - 52.5 mm on a 35 mm 35mm format camera and covers the angle of view of several fixed focal lengths.

To realize a wide-angle zoom lens with a maximum aperture of F1.8, Sigma uses an in-house developed bare pressed aspherical glass lens and optimizes the force distribution of the optical elements by incorporating SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass. This compensates for a wide variety of aberrations, including field curvature at the widest angles of view.

Convenient handling
Convenient handling is provided by internal focusing and internal zooming, which allows the Lens to maintain its overall length when focusing and zooming. Since the front lens does not rotate, you can use a perfectly matched tulip-shaped hood as well as a circular polarizing filter.

Reflection and Ghost Eliminating Design
Super Multi-Layer Coating (SML) reduces flare and ghosting and delivers high-contrast images even in backlit conditions. And the included tulip-shaped lens hood prevents side stray light from entering the lens, which could cause internal reflections and thus reduce image quality.

Brass Bayonet
The Lens is equipped with a solid and precise brass bayonet. The special treatment of the surface to reinforce the strength enables the long-lasting use of the high-quality Lens.
