The right equipment for landscape photography

Sony offers a wide range of different cameras in different price categories. However, there are two perfect models for landscape photography:
The Alpha 7 IV and the Alpha 7R V.

The Alpha 7 IV is Sony's most popular camera and rightly so! Equipped with a 33 megapixel full-frame sensor, this hybrid camera strikes the perfect balance between high resolution and flexibility. The camera is not only a sensible long-term investment for beginners in landscape photography, but is also popular with absolute professionals. Its sibling, the Alpha 7C II, offers a compact alternative.

The Alpha 7R V is aimed at professional photographers who require high resolution with excellent image quality. With its 61 megapixels, this camera captures even the smallest detail. Sony also offers this camera in a more compact form factor with the Alpha 7C R.

Both the a7IV and the a7R V are of course major investments. Of course, Sony also offers several options for smaller budgets. One of these is the Alpha 6400 APS-C camera, which despite its small body comes with the versatile E-mount and is a good travel companion thanks to its compactness.

Outstanding wide-angle zooms

The lenses in the G-MASTER series ensure unsurpassed image quality, not only thanks to their high-quality workmanship and the resulting imaging performance, but also due to their compact and lightweight design. In addition, every current G-MASTER lens comes with a manual aperture ring, which is an important tool for both photographers and filmmakers.
With Sony GM Lens you achieve the maximum image quality of your Alpha camera!

Particularly exciting for landscape photography are the wide-angle zooms, such as the 12-24mm f/2.8 GM and the 16-35mm GM 2.

Lens for beginners

For beginners in landscape photography, there are some exciting and extremely versatile lenses within the G series that are characterized by particularly high image quality despite their lower price.

Photography with color filter

Working with blocking filters had its heyday in the purely analog era. Due to the wide dynamic range of digital sensors and, above all, the possibilities of image processing, the topic has been somewhat forgotten. But in times when AI & Co. are becoming more and more popular, many photographers are going back to basics. These color filters serve the purpose of blocking certain colors from an image, because not every colored light can enter through a filter. These filters are available in a wide variety of colors, the following are common: Green, red, orange, yellow and blue.
